We had a wonderful crowd at the White Hill Open House last night but if you couldn't make it here are some photos of the amazing art that was on display.
Ms. Emma and Ms. Ruzzier hope you will join us this Thursday evening, 6:30-8pm, for Open House. Student art from the 6th grade Enrichment and 6-8th grade art elective classes will be on display in rooms 501 and 502. Stop by to see the amazing art created by White Hill students.
In Studio Art 7th & 8th graders have been working on a couple of projects about our community and one is a painting or drawing that's a personal map inspired by maps you might find at the beginning of a story book. Students had a choice of medium and could make the map in any style they chose. Students have also just completed a sculpture. You will see here the varied subject matter and use of recycled materials. This was a lengthy process, with students first trying out several sculpture techniques as they worked on smaller 3-D pieces, then conceiving an idea and making a plan about how to create their larger sculpture using a variety of materials available to them. |
