Ms. Emma's and Ms. Ruzzier's classrooms welcomed White Hill students and their families and friends to our first "Family Art Evening". It was a happy event where all were encouraged to spend time together creating art, get to know the Art Teachers and have fun! It was wonderful to see our students teaching their parents art techniques and to see adults and kids making art together. The art rooms were buzzing with creativity and it was so nice to meet so many White Hill parents.
Students in this class have been working away on their photography assignments, taking photos for the yearbook and learning some compositional techniques for their own art photography assignments. Now we've begun a drawing and painting unit- the "Graphic Arts" part of the class. 7th & 8th graders are looking closely at fonts and using typography to create these wordy works of art. Pictured here are their Zentangle Letter Designs and their "Text Sandwiches".
